The mission of The Exchange Center is to prevent physical child abuse and neglect by identifying at-risk families in Dane County and teaching parents about positive parenting skills and healthy child development through in-home visiting programs.
At The Exchange Center, we are breaking negative cycles and tackling the root causes of problems to create lasting change. We empower parents by bringing knowledge, resources and personal help to them in the comfort of their own homes. Working primarily with new parents, we help replace their fear of the unknown with the confidence and empowerment that knowledge brings. Together we can build stronger communities and grow confident and competent families by nurturing parents who believe in their abilities to be their child’s first teacher. And, children are given the opportunity to be successful in school, reach their full potential and contribute to the life and fabric of our community as they mature.
